Mold Inspector Supplemental Terms of Use
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
These Supplemental Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Mold Inspector iOS app provided by Blank Slate Labs LLC ("Mold Inspector," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"). If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent required by Apple’s terms or applicable law.
Professional-use tool
Mold Inspector helps users document field observations, measured room context, photographs, moisture and environmental readings, findings, samples, and reports. It is a documentation tool, not a laboratory, remediation service, engineering service, medical device, health diagnosis, legal opinion, code-compliance determination, warranty, or guarantee that mold or moisture is present or absent.
You are responsible for your professional judgment; inspection methods; personal protective equipment and site safety; instrument calibration; laboratory selection and interpretation; certifications and licenses; report conclusions; and compliance with laws, standards, contracts, and client requirements that apply to your work.
Acceptable use
You may use the app only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to violate privacy, property-access, surveillance, intellectual-property, export-control, safety, or professional-practice requirements; to misrepresent qualifications or results; or to create or distribute deceptive or fabricated inspection evidence.
You are responsible for obtaining authorization before scanning or photographing a property and before recording or sharing personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
Your records and backups
You retain responsibility for information you enter or create. The app stores active records locally and does not currently provide developer-operated cloud synchronization. Export a restorable backup after field work and store reports and backups using safeguards and retention periods appropriate for your practice. Verify exported reports before relying on or delivering them.
Purchases and subscriptions
If a paid plan is offered, the app will display the current App Store price, billing period, and included access before purchase. Payment is processed by Apple. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and Apple charges the renewal to the user’s Apple Account. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store account settings and can use Restore Purchases in the app. Any trial, introductory offer, refund, or billing treatment is subject to the terms shown by Apple at purchase and Apple’s applicable policies.
No paid plan is offered until the in-app commercial release switch is enabled and a corresponding App Store product is available.
Privacy
The Mold Inspector Privacy Policy describes the app’s data handling. Before publication, the public policy URL shown in the app and App Store listing must replace this repository-relative link.
App changes and availability
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or accessory, or accepted as evidence by any client, insurer, laboratory, regulator, court, or professional body.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available." The warranty disclaimers and liability provisions in Apple’s Standard EULA apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app, business model, or legal requirements change. The current version will state its effective date. If applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
